When you book an appointment at our luxury St John’s Wood dental centre, a member of our friendly, helpful reception team will arrange your first consultation at a convenient time, making every effort to fit around your busy lifestyle. For convenience, appointments can be booked via email, and email or SMS reminders can be sent out prior to your visit. If you need to change or cancel your appointment, please give us 24 hours’ notice, to avoid a cancellation fee.
We contact new patients by telephone or email prior to their first consultation so that we know a little more about you. We’ll provide you with a medical history form to complete; please make sure you fill this form in fully, as it alerts us to any medications you may be taking or of any medical conditions that could affect your treatment options. If you have come to us from another practice and have any dental records or x-rays, please bring these with you too.
For patients interested in digital smile design, we offer you the option to “send us your smile” – email us a smile selfie and we can assess it before your appointment.
When you come in, you will be greeted by a member of our reception team, who will welcome you into our luxurious patient lounge, designed with relaxation and tranquillity in mind.
You will be introduced to your consultant clinician, who will carry out a full mouth assessment, carefully examining your teeth, gums and surrounding structures. We will measure your gums and assess your gum health, and will address any specific concerns or reasons that have brought you to the practice. We also provide oral cancer screening as standard at all general dental check-ups.
We will take x-rays, photographs and scans as necessary to aid with diagnosis and treatment planning. Should you need any further treatment, we will provide you with a detailed treatment plan, including estimated costs and timescales. You will always be provided with full information about any treatments, so that you can make an informed choice about your options.
